 About us

Our Mission

Here at RatPrints (a two bedroom apartment), we are tired of going to the pet store and seeing almost no products for small animals like rats, mice, hamsters, degus, gerbils, and guinea pigs.

What's worse is that many of the products available are poorly made, have no color choice (purple and turquoise gets reeeeeal old after a while) and often don't address the common needs of our critters.

So we've made it our mission to design quality products that will stand up to wear and tear, come in a wide variety of colors, themes, and styles, and address some of the common issues that we as small pet owners are always trying to find creative hacks and solutions for.

Our own mischief tests (and hopefully approves) every design we make, because if your pets don't love it, and you don't love it, well then we didn't do our job.

We want every product we ship to be perfect for you and your pet. We're not afraid of feedback, and we're not afraid of failure. If our product isn't right for your critter, we will do everything in our power to make it right.

Nothing makes us happier than to hear (and see, we love pictures!) that your babies are enjoying the things we make.

 Human Made. Rat Approved

Meet The RatPrints Mischief (Oh, and some humans too, I guess)

Krieger M. Rat

Chief Executive Officer

Krieger is our fearless leader! The rat prince of RatPrints. He's got a keen eye for design and a dedication to always bare the naked truth. He loves treats, and he will do everything in his power to make this company provide him with more treats.

Barry M. Rat

VP of Global Logistics

Don't let his laid back attitude fool you. Barry is a hard working, dedicated employee for at least 30 minutes per day, at least 2 days per week. Is he good at shipping packages? No. Does he usually nap in the boxes instead? Absolutely.

Seamus M. Rat

Executive Chaos Potato

Chaos. Seamus is good at chaos. Other than trying (and failing) to convince us that he's not a secret sweetheart, Seamus does his best to make sure that he keeps the other rats on their toes.

PipSqueak M. Rat

Popcorn Manager

Pip doesn't know what's going on, but dang it, he's sure excited about it. When he's not popcorning around the cage, bouncing off of every surface (and living thing), he's boosting the morale of his humans and brothers, whether they like it or not.

Tango M. Rat

Junior Safety Officer

Do we need a junior safety officer? No. Does Tango insist that we do? Yes. Everything is scary, and he wants to make sure that you know it.

FoxTrot M. Rat

Assistant to the Popcorn Manager

Fox might not be as enthusiastic as Pip, but he does his best to support his brother. Unlike his other brother Tango, he lacks the ability to feel fear, which can sometimes lead to some... unwise decisions.

Robert Hamilton

Former Human Intern

He doesn't know I'm writing this bio, so I can write literally whatever I want about him. Robert is naturally gifted at engineering, problem solving, and fighting grizzly bears in hand-to-paw combat (citation needed). One of the original founders of RatPrints, and key designer of the Ratellite, Robert has since moved on to bigger and better things.

Amber M. Corgiat

Human Intern

Without my partner Amber, there would be no RatPrints. She's the one who got us into ratties, and her passion, knowledge, and care has driven a lot of the design choices in our products.

Richard F. Vaughn

Human Intern

I'm Richard, a rat dad and computer nerd with a background in game dev, IT support, and 3D Printing. I'm also the person to blame for any terrible puns you find on this website. I do not apologize. I have a passion for design and problem solving, and I want to see more products out there for small animals!

Gone, but never forgotten

2025

Cyril M. Rat

What Cyril lacked in brain power, he made up for in sheet sweetness. This big teddy bear loved nothing more than cuddling with his humans and his babies. Truly we've never known a more wonderful, loving boy.

Reginald M. Rat

Reggie was trained by our old boy Fu, the best of the best! When he wasn't checking up on the other rats to make sure they were okay, he was generally shunning the humans in his life (unless they had treats).

WoodHouse M. Rat

Reggie's twin brother, you could always find Woodhouse nearby. He also wasn't much for humans, but he loved his brothers and was always ready to jump in and help in a scrap.

Basil M. Rat

Basil was an odd duck, no doubt about it. A rescue who suffered some neurological disorders, he was just about the grumpiest boy you'd ever meet. He was a secret sweetheart, but just typing that I can feel his angry gaze from beyond the rainbow bridge.

Memento and MOri

Even in their bio, it feels wrong to separate these sweet boys. Intelligent enough to be dangerous, sweet enough to melt your heart, and gone far too young.
