Richard Vaughn (Co-Founder) - I'm Richard, a rat dad and computer nerd with a background in game dev, IT support, and 3D Printing. I'm also the person to blame for any terrible puns you find on this website. I do not apologize. I have a passion for design and problem solving, and I want to see more products out there for small animals!

Who Are We? Why Are We Here?

What's Our Mission?

Here at RatPrints, we're tired of going to the pet store and seeing almost no products for small animals such as rats, mice, hamsters, degus, rabbits, gerbils, and guinea pigs.

What's worse is that many of the products that are available are poorly made, have no color choice (purple and green get old after a while) and often don't address the common needs of our critters.

It's our mission to design quality products that will stand up to wear and tear, come in a wide variety of colors, and address some of the issues that we as small pet owners are always trying to find creative hacks and solutions for.

Our own rat mischief tests (and hopefully approves) every design we make, because if your pets don't love it and you don't love it then, well, we didn't do our job.

We're always open to feedback, positive or negative, because we want every product that we ship to be perfect for you and your pet, and when it is, nothing makes us happier than to hear it (and see it! We love pictures of your critters!).

Robert Hamilton (Co-Founder) - He doesn't know I'm writing this bio, so I can write literally whatever I want about him. Robert is naturally gifted at engineering, problem solving, and fighting grizzly bears in hand-to-paw combat (citation needed). We worked together at two now-defunct 3D printer companies (not our fault) where I provided tech support and he helped build an amazing 3D filament production line from the ground up.

He currently owns 4 very spoiled dogs, previously owned a herd of guinea pigs and is godfather (rat father?) to our mischief. He's a great dad to his human child too.

Trisha Vaughn - Starting in 2025, my older sister Trisha is joining us at RatPrints! She's a gifted artist and writer and just about the most amazing sister a guy could ask for (don't tell my other sisters). She has more creative talent and crafting skill than Robert and I combined, and she's going to be working to help us expand our collection of new products for humans!

Amber Corgiat - Without my partner Amber, there would be no RatPrints. She's the one who got us into ratties, and her passion, knowledge, and care has driven a lot of the design choices in our products.
